Greetings backers! It has been a while since our last update, and we're happy to report that we have made lots of progress this month!
Trojans Have Shipped We spent the majority of the last month casting, packing, and shipping thousands of Trojans! At this point, we have shipped all of our Trojan Rewards that are eligible to ship now. Thank you to everyone for their patience as we sorted through all of these miniatures... it was a big job, and we are relieved that they are finally on their way! Note - there are some backers who have selected Trojans but are still waiting for additional items (like Automatons, Amazons, etc). If you are one of these backers and want us to ship your Trojans early, just email us and let us know - we are happy to do so. To split shipping is just $6 in the US, other countries vary - just let us know and we can figure it out for you. :) Show us your Trojans! Now that folks are getting their miniatures, we'd love to see them painted! Sculpting Progress: Fitz has now completed all of the Amazon Archers and Peltasts, and he's nearly done with Penthesilea. He's also working on the much-anticipated Automatons, and the Hoplite and Hound are already done. We expect to have the rest of the Amazon and Automaton sculpts completed by mid-July, and have the final production molds underway in August. In the mean-time, here are some pictures of the Automatons, clinkitty, clankitty clank!

Todd has been busy too, and has now completed all of the Peltast and Archer captains for the Spartans and Myceneans. If you are waiting on Spartan and Mycenean rewards, this is great news, as these are the last minis we need to start sending out those factions! The greens are at our moldmaker now, and we hope to be able to get these in metal in the next few weeks!

OK, the first version of the Hoplite is complete, and his little pet is done too!
Once I get these back from our moldmaker I'll do an alternate head & sword arm for the Hoplite. Just need to finish the Bronze Bull automaton and they'll all be done!
We've done a couple of Kickstarter projects already, and now have a small fantasy miniatures line as a result. But our sculptor, Michael, has always wanted to do a range of gods... and so we're beginning Project Pantheon. We're starting out with the chief god of the Norse Pantheon, Odin, riding his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir. We'll be casting the model as a multi-part metal kit, suitable for gamers, collectors and figure painters. We're a fair way along the production process; all the concept work has been done, the model is already sculpted, and prepared for moulding. So we are pretty much ready to go.
After this project is finished, we'd then like to sculpt more gods - either more from the Norse pantheon, like Loki or Thor, or from a different pantheon, like the Greek or Egyptian gods.
The costs
Producing a model like this is an expensive process; in this case most of the cost is in the sculpting. Michael has put more than a hundred hours into the sculpt, and that is a lot of time for one model. We also need to get the moulding done, and buy in the metal - it's a heavy model, estimated at about 250 grams; so we'll need lots of metal! Basically, this Kickstarter is a trial run for Project Pantheon. If the response is good, then we'll invest the time and resources to expand the range.
The size
Odin is a big figure - if you are used to 28mm figures, he'll definitely be larger than you are used to. If he was an infantry model, he'd stand about 40mm tall. So why have we made him in a bigger size than the rest of our figures? There are 3 reasons; firstly, he's a god! We want him to be an impressive model, one that will stand out on the tabletop or in a display case. Secondly, we wanted to do a really high quality job on the sculpting, and a bigger size helps with that. And thirdly, we wanted him to fit in with other ranges of gods, such as those by Bronze Age Miniatures, and North Star Miniatures - all of which are in a similar size to ours. This means that you could use Odin easily in a game of Osprey's Of Gods and Mortals. That's what we're doing with ours, anyway!
The Model

What do you get?
Odin and Sleipnir are supplied as a nine part metal model kit, for you to build and paint. The kit comes with a 50mm round plastic base. Here's a picture of the parts:

Achilles, the Greek hero of the Dominion of the Gods box set! Auto blocks makes Achilles a deadly opponent to face in battle, but don't expect this hero to be all about defense because Achilles can hit just as hard! Like a bullet Achilles has the ability to run into combat without too much fear or reprisals, but too much carelessness can see him to Hades where no man escapes!

The Pythia was widely credited for her prophecies inspired by Apollo. The Delphic oracle was established in the 8th century BC. The last recorded response was given in 393 AD, when the emperor Theodosius I ordered pagan temples to cease operation. During this period the Delphic Oracle was the most prestigious and authoritative oracle in the Greek world.
