Welcome to Splintered Light Miniatures' 15mm fantasy Egyptian Sons of Anubis Kickstarter. A few years ago we released the Sons of Horus, our first fantasy Egyptian themed army, as well as some fantasy Egyptian undead. Last year we ran a successful Kickstarter, adding a new army to the fantasy Egyptian line--the Scarab-men.
The next army in our line of fantasy Egyptian figures is the Sons of Anubis, sculpted by Faron Betchley. He has also sculpted some mercenary figures. Our main goal with this Kickstarter is to get the funds we need for the production molds and initial castings. Our hope is that as we are getting the funding for production molds, we can also keep Faron sculpting new armies and mercenary units for future Kickstarter campaigns. We need your help to get this done so please pledge today!
Our plan is to have 8 packs of Sons of Anubis available as well as 7 new mercenary packs. We also have 5 packs we were able to produce from our last Kickstarter that we will be offering here.

For this Kickstarter, I will be offering these at three pledge levels. First, backers can choose to get one of each pose in packs 1-5, 1 of each jackal pose, and 1 random beast pose for $15 as a war band for skirmish games. This option will not qualify for all stretch goals.
Second, backer can choose to get an army with enough units to make a Mighty Armies army or HOTT army. The army will include: 1 Command Stand (leader/caster, musician, and standard), 1 Guard Stand (3 figures), 2 Spear Stands (6 figures), 2 Khopesh Stands (6 figures), 2 Archer Stands (6 figures), 1 Beast Stand (2 figures), 1 Jackal Stand (3 figures), and 1 Chariot Stand (1 complete chariot). This option will qualify for all stretch goals.
Third, backers can choose to get one of each of the Sons of Anubis packs. This will include ANUB01-18 and will give the backers 61 infantry, 2 chariots, 6 beasts, and 10 jackals. This option will qualify for all stretch goals.
In addition to the Sons of Anubis packs, we will also be offering mercenary packs. These will be sold separately as add-ons but there is a 4th pledge level that will include all of the Sons of Anubis packs plus all of the following mercenary packs (Sons of Ptah Warriors, Sons of Ptah Archers, Sons of Basti Warriors, Daughters of Basti Archers, Sons of Sebek Warriors, Sons of Thoth Guard, Sons of the Serpent Spear, Sons of the Serpent Khopesh, Sons of the Scorpion Command, Sons of the Scorpion Spears, and Sons of the Scorpion Warriors)

Since some of you may be new to Splintered Light Miniatures or may not have picked up all you wanted in the last Kickstarter, I want to offer some of our previous fantasy Egyptian packs. To add an optional Add-on, click "manage my Pledge" in the top right corner of the Kickstarter page and type the total value of everything you want. For example, if you are at the Complete Jackal Experience ($55) and want to add two $6 pack add-ons to your pledge, simply increase your pledge by $12, making your total pledge $67.

Shipping will be handled after the campaign is finished and product is ready to ship. Unfortunately, since Splintered Light Miniatures is a small company, we do not have distribution channels around the world so we have to ship from our home base. Most every domestic USA order will fit into a small flat rate priority mail box, which at this point in time is roughly $7. International orders will fall into two categories (Canada will come in slightly less than this)-- orders 8 ounces or less will cost roughly $14 to ship and orders over 8 ounces will cost roughly $23 to ship. Both of these prices are based on international first class shipping rates. Backers will be sent a Paypal invoice for the cost of shipping once the product is ready to ship, and the cost will be the actual cost of shipping.
Please do not include the shipping in your pledge total.

Greetings Olympus backers!
We are back with the latest draft of the Olympus rulebook! We have compiled all of the previous sections into a single PDF, and added the chapter introduction stories and illustrations. Also added is a table of contents, the chapter summaries, and a quick reference page at the end, Several sections have been significantly reworked to incorporate changes and clarifications that backers asked for, including the warband construction pages. These expanded sections allowed us to use a bit more of our artwork, and we think the latest version is a big improvement over the last. You are going to see several new pictures and some awesome stories you have not seen before!
Another big change in this version that we've simplified the presentation of the profiles for each unit type. We've now gone back to the way they were originally presented in Aegyptus, with only the numbers (ratings, move values, base size, etc) on the chart, rather than attempting to summarize their special abilities and powers. To put it simply, they were getting too cluttered, so we went back to 'simple'. All of that information is right there on the same page-spread as the profile anyway, so it should not really be any less clear. So what's left?
At this point, the page order is very close to being finalized - we just need to add the miniature & terrain gallery, and that will likely fall between the Titans chapter and before the Campaign chapter. We are also working on the last filler stories (visible in red text in the PDF), and a couple of small pictures to bring some sections together. There are also some headers and text frames to replace, and some general cleanup - but the book is very close to the final 'look'.
Our page count looks to be at 336 pages (once we add 8 pages for the galleries). For some perspective, that's 48 pages more than Aegyptus! Even with the expanded page count, we've had to really struggle to fit everything within - Olympus has a LOT of options to play with!
All in all, we're about 95% complete, and expect to have the final version of the layout ready to go to print in few weeks. The printing process will likely take 3 months, and if all goes as planned we expect to have copies in the late summer. Editing Help
As with the last drafts, if you spot an error please let us know. Don't worry about the red text, that will all be corrected/completed before the next (and final) draft. We are very grateful to all our backers who have helped with the editing so far, so please keep them coming.
