Well here goes a log of my side project that I began last month. I had a bunch of these Wargames Factory Amazons laying in my bits from an aborted slanneshi cult for a big chaos space marine army i had and a ton of square bases sitting around after converting my skaven to AoS. Im making this army with KoW as a framework of what I want to have at the end of the project but I doubt it will get used in gameplay. It would be nice to see it painted on the battlefield one day but who knows.
Anyway so far I have 40 spearmen, 30 bowmen, 20 phalanx pikemen, a priestess/sorceress, a queen and a banner bearer. Furthur expansion would see more phalanx pikemen, a type of two hand weapon berserkers, light chariots, and war elephants. Im looking forward to this project as its so different than an other project I have attempted. I hope you enjoy.
Happy Halloween from the Croc Team!
We hope your holiday is filled with tricks, treats, and lots of spooky fun! And to help with the 'spooky fun', we thought we'd make an update that focuses on some of the monsters that will be appearing in the upcoming rulebook -- AND, show off some of the cool artwork that goes along with them! Charon
Let's meet our guide in the realm of the dead... Charon. The realm of the Underworld plays a big part in WarGods of Olympus; after all, it is where all of our brave Hoplites will end up, eventually. Some of the scenarios in the Campaigns chapter actually take place in the Underworld... a place that is easier to enter than it is to leave!
This picture shows Charon, the boatman of the river Styx. Only those who pay a silver coin are permitted to cross the river into the land of the dead. This illustration was made by Des Hanley, just one of dozens of fantastic pictures he has contributed to Olympus. We hope to show off a few more of his pics in the next few months, leading up to the rulebook's release.

Shades
Dark in here, isn't it? The Demigod of Hades has a special relationship with the Underworld (after all, his dad runs the place!) and so he has the unique ability to summon the spirits of dead warriors to fight for him in a ghostly legion. And yes, we'll eventually be making miniatures for them too!
This picture features a brave Demigod of Apollo, who has found himself trapped in Hades' midnight realm and surrounded by a nightmarish army of ghostly shades... will light or darkness prevail? This awesome illustration was made by Paul Jeacock, who you may remember as having contributed to the original WarGods of Aegyptus rules. We're pleased to have Paul working on the project, and we hope you will be too!

Harpies
Half-woman, half-vulture, these foul monsters were created by the gods to torment mankind. They are a part of the Titan faction, following the Titan horde like birds of carrion, feeding on the dead and the dying that that the giant monsters leave in their wake. They are particularly useful when the Titans face-off against archers, as the Harpies can quickly intercept and incapacitate these troublesome enemies, covering one of the Titans' greatest weaknesses - their vulnerability to missile fire.
In this picture, a band of Athenians have entered an ancient ruin, a place forsaken by men and cursed by the gods - there, they are ambushed by a flock of cackling Harpies, thirsty for the blood of men! This illustration was made by John Wigley, who Croc fans will recognize his many contributions to the Wendigo Warband Guide. John has been hard at work of Olympus, and this is just one of dozens of exciting new illustrations that he's made for the book.

Plus de 20 type de bouclier différents pour représenter des mercenaires Corinthiens ça c'est une bonne nouvelle.
New Corinthian Sculpts
Greetings from Corinth! We're back with another update...
Athens Warband All of the Athenian masters are currently in the hands of our moldmakers, and they are working on them now. We expect to have the molds back from them, possibly as soon as next week, and as soon as we do we'll start the metal production. We're still hoping to begin shipping these before the end of September, keeping our fingers crossed that all of molds come out OK. We'll be posting another update as soon as we get the molds in-hand, to keep everyone abreast of the timeline. Corinth Sculpting Progress
We're happy to report that the first few Corinthian hoplites have been completed! The new Corinth sculpts are a combination of Chris and Todd's sculpting. Unfortunately, Todd has run into some pressing time conflicts and can not get the rest of the Corinth sculpts finished as quickly as we need them, so Chris has stepped in to help complete the unit. Todd made the original bodies (the metal bodies in the photos) and Chris sculpted the helmets and all the new green/bronze elements.
These are just the first of the new Corinth warriors, there will be several more variations coming later this month to complete the unit. The Corinthians are rich, and their armor and weapons are meant to be the best that money can buy, so each warrior is intended to look very ornate to illustrate this. The next round of sculpts will have more 'gear', such as swords, daggers, and money pouches. The shields shown are from the Corinth mercenary Battle Honor (a unit with warriors with all different shields) and there will be many other shields available (the mercenary unit has nearly 20 different shield variations!)

The front-rank models above have their right arm as a separate piece. These will also be used as the body for swordsmen, but with sword-equipped arms, of course!

That's it for now. We hope you like the new models, and we'll have several more of their friends to show in the next update.
