Crocodiliopolis City-Dweller greens

Voilà quelques green qui vont réjouir les joueurs Sebeki… Sans compter ce qui arrive et les lance-roc Sebeki

Chris FitzPatrick

So here's the warrior for the Crocodiliopolis City-  Dweller melee option... a strapping young fellow who turned out looking a bit like Richard Corbin's "Den". He has scar tattoos on his arms and back like the Flinger loaders, of course. I'm thinking that spear and shield will be a good compliment to the existing Sebeki melee option (double handed weapons).  I may give him a bit more armor (so he could pass for either light or medium), and he'll have a shield with either a turtle shell or with a Sobek hieroglyph.

The Crocodilopolis City-Dwellers are tough dudes - they grow up living alongside the mighty Sebeki, I imagine them rough-housing with the crocs and being able to hold their own on the playground!

The idea here is to do a basic warrior that Sebeki players can build units of, with a single model.  Theoretically, I could do additional poses/variations, but they may need to be a stretch goal - sculpting and producing a complete unit of with lots of poses/command requires about 6x the time, expense, and effort as one guy - so to do so we'd need to be certain that the extra effort would be supported by similarly increased demand.

Next up will be an archer pose, like this guy but a little leaner.   Then I'll be getting started on the new character models, the female City-Dweller hero/Harbinger (not sure which yet) and the new Croc Mascot.

Votre opinion ?

OK, here’s the last of the 3 Sebeki Fling-teams!
I sculpted this Sebeki in more of a ‘loading’ pose, and the Asar City-Dweller in a tired, “Whew, lifting these big rocks is hard” pose, as he is taking a break and wiping his brow. His general mood is an expression of my feelings toward getting the unit completed - sculpting scales and scar tattoos is VERY time consuming! Whew!
Once again, all the heads and tails are interchangeable for a bit of variation on the poses.
For the rest of the month I’ll be working on some more Sebeki-themed sculpts to go along with these. You guys have provided some great ideas, and I’m going to try to do the following:
New Croc Mascot, holding the mace of doom over his head triumphantly
-Sebeki Priest
-Asar City-Dweller Archer and Warrior (that Sobek players can build units of, albeit with limited poses)
-Asar City-Dweller hero or Harbinger of Sobek, female
-Sebeki casualty
-Possibly and actual crocodile
Some small “Icons & Artifacts” bits to occupy my ‘drying time’:
-Croc nest with a baby crocodile or Sebeki
-Crocodile skull
-Sebeki kid
-Turtle shield
There are lots more ideas I’d love to do, but even the above will be a real challenge to complete in a single month (I can sculpt about one and a half miniatures in a week, depending on the complexity). A large project like a chariot or new Beloved would be awesome, but just doing one of those would likely bump everything else due to the size and large number of parts. But we’ll see how these go - if the planned Kickstarter is successful we could follow-up with more down the line. I just don’t want to fall into the same pitfall as the last time around and commit to a long list of projects - I think everyone would rather have a more modest goal that we can move quickly on.

Hey WarGods players, I’m currently back at the sculpting table, working on some new minis for the Aegyptus range. The Aegyptus range has not gotten any new models for quite some time, so I’m talking a short break from Olympus to make a few fun pieces. Also, Sebeki are good practice as they are very ‘over the top’, and I need to get my fingers back into sculpting shape!
Currently under construction are the Sebeki Flingers, a new unit that is effectively “Croc catapults’ - Sebeki are strong enough to hurl boulders at their enemies, with the assistance of a catapult-like fling pole. They are assisted by the City-Dwellers of Crocodilopolis, a band of tough Asar warriors who use scarification tattoos to make their skin resemble crocodiles.
The plan is to work on these for the remainder of February and March, and then run a Kickstarter to fund their production. Also included will be re-molding all of the current Sebeki models in production, as their molds are nearing the end of their life. This is going to be a small Kickstarter with a modest goal - 10-12 new models, something that we can confidently complete within a few months. If successful, we can do a series of follow-up Kickstarters funding the production of other new models, each grouped together in a theme (Athenians, Anubi, Olympus monsters, etc).
Yes, the Sebeki Flingers will get a writeup and some special rules, they’ll be published when we start the program.
Also planned for the Sebeki Kickstarter are a couple warrior models for the Crocodiopolis City-Dwellers, a new Croc Mascot, and possibly a Sebeki Priest of Sobek (as the current model is an Asar). Do you have something Sebeki-related that you’d like to see?
I’m letting you guys know about this in advance to get your input on making it as successful as possible. Once the project takes shape a little more we’ll post it on the main Croc FB page and website. Constructive thoughts are welcome, and please post any suggestions for additional models in the ‘Croc’ theme below.

OK, since we got to 100 “Likes”, it is time to post another Flinger Team!
This team includes a Sebeki in mid-fling, and a City-Dweller hauling some more ammunition in a high-tech transport device (a wheelbarrow!) A few fun facts about these 2 models, the Sebeki has the same head/tail/weapon joints as the first model, so their heads/tails/weapon will be interchangeable for lots of variation. Yes, I am making another fling-pole variation as well, it is just taking a bit longer than the rest. The City-Dweller model is wearing a head-dress based upon the famous crocodile skin armor from Roman-era-Egypt, that is in the British Museum. The City-Dwellers honor the crocodiles, and it is forbidden to kill them, so I figure their armor is made from crocs that died of natural causes. Or maybe it is shed skin?
The third Fling Team poses are now underway, I’ll post them when completed.
Thanks to everyone for all the comments and suggestions so far, they are definitely inspirational, and seeing that people enjoy these help to motivate me to do more. I’ll start sculpting some of the other ideas once the Flingers are all complete.
